How We Hire

You’ll go through our recruiting process in the following order. Certain positions might have small variations to the process, but most positions are similar to the steps below.

Step 1: Application Review

This is an opportunity to show us how your background fits in with what we’re looking for in our new hire. You’ll provide a resume to showcase what you’ve done elsewhere.

Please note: a 1-minute video is required for consideration. 

Step 2: 15-Minute Initial Chat

You’ll have a 15-minute call to discuss a high-level overview of your experience and if you’ll be a good match to join the team. We’ll cover expectations, what you’ll need to succeed, and what working on the team might look like.

Step 3: Strengths Tests

You’ll then be sent two complete tests from the Predictive Index (PI), which should only take you about 20 minutes. The first test is for gauging how you interact and do work, and the second test is to find out your learning preference.

Step 4: 30-Minute Video Call

At this step, you’ll have a conversation with your future direct manager to get to know each other and discuss the ideal test project to get the ball rolling.

Step 5: Test Project

This is your (paid) opportunity to work with us as if you’re already a member of our team. It’s just as important for us to see what it's like to work with you as it is for you to see what it's like to work with us! Give the test project your best shot, and if things go well, we’ll make you an offer.

Step 6: Final Call with the CEO

You’ll have a conversation with Dan Martell our CEO. 

Step 7: Offer

You’ve completed a test project, and we enjoy working together. At this point, you’ll receive an official offer from our team that, if you accept, will be the start of a rewarding and exciting experience.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Sales Development Representative that can conduct 500+ cold dials per week to generate net-new business opportunities. This person will engage entrepreneurs and high-level executives with thoughtful discovery questions, introduce our programs, and handle objections as needed.

Here are the three primary components of the Sales Development Representative role:

  1. Daily Operations: 100+ dials per day; LinkedIn prospecting; confirmation calls within 5 minutes of application submissions; maintain thorough and accurate records in our CRM (HubSpot)
  2. Results Driven: Attract core customers to SaaS Academy by leveraging a variety of outreach tools to develop interactions with potential customers and set appointments.
  3. Sales Skillset:
    1. Experience in cold calling and setting appointments
    2. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (comfortable engaging with driven entrepreneurs and delivering value)
    3. Ability to identify key decision makers within targeted leads to begin the sales process
    4. Driven, self-motivated, results-oriented, and have a fantastic work ethic

Ideal Candidate

  1. Daily Operations: Generate net-new business opportunities for the Account Executives via Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) and increase the show rate of Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) with confirmation calls
  2. Results Driven: Meet and exceed monthly quota and quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  3. Sales Skillset: Proven skillset in developing new business opportunities within the SaaS industry. This person will be coachable (desires candid feedback), collaborative, and should thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. They will have a great phone presence and be able to write a killer email.
Experience and Qualifications
Required:
  • 6+ months of inbound/outbound B2B sales development experience
  • 6+ months of experience with high volume cold calling (100+ dials per day)
  • U.S. or Canadian time zones required
Preferred:
  • Worked in a startup/SaaS company
  • Experience working with a team across multiple disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills

About the Role 

We need a new team member who is obsessed with going above and beyond to delight our clients, engage our community groups, and master administrative tasks with speed and accuracy. You will support our community and inboxes for all three of SaaS Academy’s programs: Growth Accelerator, SaaS Academy, and Boardroom, and work hand-in-hand with Customer Success. 

Here are the three primary components of the Client Support role: 

  1. Community Management: Support and engage with clients in our online Facebook communities, focus on Facebook engagement and adoption metrics and lead additional projects for further community optimization.
  2. Client-Facing Support: Process and manage email support via Hubspot, assist in one-to-many email and Facebook announcements, develop processes and establish new ways to demonstrate high-level support for our clients.
  3. Administrative Support: Manage client CRM, build reports, optimize tooling (CRM, Hubspot, Kajabi, Facebook, etc), process coaching call follow-ups, and assist with documentation creation and event-related support and tasks.  


Ideal Candidate

  1. Community Management: Engaging, responsive, and excited to build community between our clients and connect with clients one-on-one.
  2. Client-Facing Support: Energetic and creative with a growth mindset and eager to learn; able to interact with clients in a quiet and casual setting, and improve processes and current Customer Support practices.
  3. Administrative Support: Detail and process-oriented, CRM savvy, and a dynamic multi-tasker who enjoys stepping in to help where needed (sometimes at a moment’s notice). You will need to maintain targets of responding to tickets in under two hours and closing tickets in under 24 hours.

Experience and Qualifications

Required:
  • 2 years of client support experience
  • U.S. / Canadian time zones, Pacific Standard Time highly preferred

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced marketing leader to drive the marketing strategy for SaaS Academy, audit and improve our customer journey, and successfully partner closely with the Sales Team to exceed revenue targets. We need a savvy, fast-moving, data-driven leader that has a customer-first mentality. This person will be a Machine Builder who enjoys building brand new processes, systems, and structures as well as optimizing existing ones. To thrive in this role, you should have a deep understanding of early-stage SaaS companies and a proven track record of developing an industry-leading brand. This position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and is a key member of SaaS Academy's senior leadership team.

Here are the three primary components of the Director of Marketing role:

  1. Drive the Marketing Strategy: Lead the development and execution of our marketing strategy which includes content marketing, paid media, partnerships, and self-liquidating offers, and improve the output of our existing marketing spend. They will work daily with our demand generation and creative teams to improve the quality and efficacy of our work and ensure we are representing the voice of our customers to evolve the SaaS Academy brand. They will measure and communicate the success of the marketing approaches and programs in collaboration with our Director of Revenue Operations and Chief Operation and Revenue Officers to ensure the strategy supports SaaS Academy’s revenue targets and Vivid Vision.
  2. Nurture the Customer Journey: Audit the customer journey which includes how we attract core customers, share client wins and results, and build trust in our brand. Our marketing content should enter the conversation already going on in our prospective clients’ minds and should speak directly to the struggles they’re already thinking about.
  3. Support the Sales Team: Partner with the Director of Sales to drive qualified prospective clients to the funnel and engage them with the right messaging. The Director of Marketing will identify the key assets to support the Sales Team to improve show rates, one call closes, and post-call follow-up.

Ideal Candidate

  1. Drive the Marketing Strategy: Within the first 90 days, the newly developed marketing strategy will deliver $3.6M in pipeline month-over-month, which equates to 120 SaaS Academy qualified appointments conducted monthly. Construct ROI models and forecast the financial impact of marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives.
  2. Nurture the Customer Journey: Within the first 120 days, lead a project to consolidate and improve the experience of prospective clients through our existing funnels, and ensure our pages are on message and converting well. Increased appointments booked through email marketing, reduced lead-to-opportunity times, and qualitative feedback from customers about the quality and timeliness of our funnels.
  3. Support the Sales Team: Within the first 30 days, a sales enablement roadmap will be created and then executed over the following 12 months which will result in a reduction in average times to close and increased show rates. Help the company engage with prospective clients and leverage this to attract new core customers and grow our brand attraction.

Experience and Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing; 5+ years of marketing leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of SaaS, tech, or coaching industries
  • Highly analytical with a proven track record of consistently over-achieving marketing and revenue goals as a leader
  • Customer-focused and committed to quality service; strong work ethic, positive attitude, Candid communicator, and self-starter; adept at testing, refining, and implementing new ideas
  • Possesses a willingness to receive and provide coaching for continuous personal development.
  • U.S. / Canadian timezones (Pacific Standard Time highly preferred)
  • Ability to build strong relationships across global teams and functions
  • Experienced with online tools (ie: Google docs, sheets, Zoom, Calendly, Hubspot)
